My last heated bowl had no way of knowing if it was actually working until I found my dog's water frozen solid. This one has an indicator light so I can glance at it from across the yard and know right away it's on and doing its job. Makes a huge difference in winter.

What I like is that the bowl itself is sturdy enough that my bigger dog can't flip it over. She's knocked over plenty of bowls before but this one sits solid. The water stays warm and she actually drinks more than she used to in the colder months.

noticed pretty quickly that the heating is gentle, not like the water gets hot or anything, just stays above freezing. My cat drinks from it normally and doesn't seem bothered at all. Exactly what I needed for her outdoor shelter.
the cord on my previous one frayed pretty badly after a season and I had to replace the whole thing. This one feels much sturdier where the cord meets the bowl, no cheap connection point. My dogs drink from it every day and it's held up really well so far.
Told my neighbor to grab one of these after she mentioned her old heated bowl kept tripping her outdoor outlet. She was nervous about the same thing happening again but she said this one has been running fine with no electrical issues at all. We both use them now for our outside dogs.
I was a little skeptical about whether it would actually keep water from freezing when temps really drop, but it handles the cold nights here without any trouble. Water stays liquid and my chickens are drinking normally even on the worst mornings 👏.

The indicator light is actually really useful, I didn't think I'd care about it but now I check it every morning without even thinking. Small green glow means everything is working and I don't have to walk all the way out to test the water myself.
